HaloSource Inc. (“Halosource”) is a clean water and antimicrobial technology company, providing innovative solutions that benefit human health worldwide.
Founded in 2002 in Seattle, Washington (USA), HaloSource has grown to be a worldwide company with offices and processing plants spanning the globe. HaloSource is founded on a strong and rapidly expanding Intellectual Property portfolio focusing on two core technologies; N-halamines and Chitosan. N-halamines harness the power of chlorine and bromine for drinking water and antimicrobial treatments, used in the HaloPure and HaloShield business units. Chitosan chemistry, used in the StormKlear and SeaKlear business units, binds sediments and other pollutants or impurities in water so they can be filtered out, for use in: recreational water, industrial water, construction site run-off and other wastewater or water recycling needs.
In 2006, HaloPure launched in India in partnership with Eureka Forbes, India’s leading provider of home water purifiers. In early 2008 a partnership was formed with Chanitex, a leading Chinese water treatment company. Since 2008, HaloSource’s HaloShield antimicrobial technology has been incorporated by Clorox, the leading bleach brand in the US, to offer Clorox FreshCare antimicrobial towels at Wal-Mart stores throughout the US.
HaloSource has manufacturing facilities in Raymond, Washington, Bangalore, India, Pakistan, and Shanghai, China. Key investors include Origo, Mars and Unilever. Halsource listed on the London Stock Exchange in October 2010.
